Plot:
Gwen Cummings is a talented and ambitious writer living a fast-paced and glamorous life in New York City. However, her addiction to alcohol and drugs has begun to take a toll on her relationships, career, and overall well-being. One night, after a particularly wild party, Gwen’s reckless behavior leads to a car accident and subsequent arrest.
Given the choice between jail time or rehab, Gwen reluctantly chooses the latter, but not without resistance. She checks into a rehabilitation center called Serenity Glen, where she is determined to complete her 28-day program as quickly as possible and return to her old life.
Upon arrival, Gwen is welcomed by an eclectic group of fellow addicts, each dealing with their own struggles. There’s the sensitive and artistic Daniel, the tough but caring Cornell, the anxious and withdrawn Andrea, and the wise and experienced counselor, Eddie Boone. Together, they form an unlikely support system as they navigate the challenges of recovery.
